A Pink massage table, a bottle with a tube on it and the 42nd National Convention!

As part of its 42nd National Propaganda Initiative NBM donate suspect items (pink massage table and a bottle with a tube on it) worth very little to a Health Centre in Delta State.

And running concurrently it’s also the 42nd National Convention.. Which means it’s time for a new supreme leader.

Another term for ‘Felix Kupa’ or is it finally King Emperor Melvin Udo-Richmond Esq’s turn?? Will there be any rousing speeches? any memorable moments? Will Engr Felix Kupa murder someone again this convention? So many questions.

Here’s some scenes from moments ago inside the convention that might help us piece together what’s going to happen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0Ggngykj0w

As part of its 42nd National Convention, NBM donates items worth hundreds of thousands to Health Centre in Delta State. The members of NBM group, Manchester Chapter led by the president Sir Paul Ogbeni (KSC), visited the Primary Health Care Centre in Asaba to donate various items to help the centre deliver value to patients. The group was welcomed by the executive secretary of Oshimilli South LGA, Dr. Charles Eboka who represented the local government chairman. Others present were the chief matron of the centre, Mrs. Bridget Okenyi & Dr. Michael Nwoko (SSA to Gov of Delta state on healthcare matters). Dr. Nwoko stressed that the donation today by NBM of Africa is in alignment with the state Governor’s agenda on health matters, adding that the centre is the busiest in the state in terms of the number of patients been seen.

The matron thanked the group for showing exemplary leadership and service to humanity, she promised that they will continue to join hands with NBM in ensuring that the welfare needs of Nigerians especially the masses amongst us are met.

The President of the group highlighted the aims and objectives of the association, stating that “we are donating this items to the centre because we believe that health issues as it pertains to child delivery are very paramount to our societal development. We are hoping that this items should be put in good use by the management and patients, stating that continuous effort will be made to curb child mortality in our nation”. The president called on other groups and well meaning Nigerians to join in promoting community development issues that will help develop Nigerians and Nigeria in general. Delta Police Arrest 25 Suspected Cult Members

Date: 24/2/21

The Delta State Police Command has arrested 25 suspected cultist members and eight others involved in criminal activities.

Parading the suspects on Wednesday at the state police headquarters, Asaba, the state police commissioner, Ari Muhammed Ali, said the 25 suspected cultists were arrested in Sapele following a raid carried out by his team as a result of the incessant cult-related killings and criminal activities in the area in recent times.

Ali disclosed that among the suspected cult members, two were arrested by the Divisional Police Officer, (DPO), B Division, Asaba with two pistols recovered.

He said a suspect who specialised in illegal oil bunkering was also arrested and that six suspects from Plateau State were arrested with guns, daggers, charms and others.

He identified some of the cults the suspects belong to as Junior Vikings Confraternity (JVC), Buccaneers, Eiye, Black Axe, Aye, among others.

Ali said the suspects were arrested alongside some of their girlfriends when the raid on their hideouts was carried out in Sapele.

He said, “Following the last one week, crime rate has increased in the state and I decided to launch a very violent attack on criminals in the state and we are getting results. I have mobilised over 10 different crack teams to Warri, Sapele and Ughelli axes and other parts of the state to ensure that crime in these areas is brought down to the barest tolerable level so that people can sleep with their eyes closed in the state.

“However, we cannot do it alone, we need the support of the public. We need their cooperation; we need the assistance we could get from them. Not just them alone, we want other sister agencies to also join hands with us so that together we can take Delta state to great heights in crime fighting.”

Ali, who said all the suspects would be charged to court, warned criminals to relocate from the state.

He said criminals who refuse to leave would be found, adding that in the coming days, the war would be taken to criminal hideouts across the state.

“Since my assumption of office as Delta state commissioner of police in January 2021, I have warned all criminals in the state to relocate. Whether kidnappers, cultists, armed robbers and whatever you are, you must relocate from the state because I am definitely not here to play, I am here to fight crimes.

“I have drawn the battle line with criminals and I can assure Deltans and residents that all criminal elements must run away from the state and those who refuse to run away will be dislocated. We have just started and anybody who is a criminal, definitely will have his or her cup filled up.

“For my gallant men, I must give them pats on their backs for taming all these criminal elements. I want them to know that I am solidly behind them. They should consider their assignments as that of selfless service to their fatherland and whatever it is, the state and federal governments are also solidly behind them. We will always ensure that their interest is taken into consideration at all times.”

New year Eve: Cultists kill two in Delta community

Source: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/01/new-year-eve-cultists-kill-two-in-delta-community/

No fewer than two persons have been killed on the eve of New year in a cult war believed to be retaliatory between members of rival cult groups in the Sapele local government area of Delta State, This is coming barely 48 hours after a popular hairstylist, Adams Ejuvwese, popularly called 10 over 10 was killed.

Vanguard learnt that trouble started on Tuesday after the popular hairstylist while sitting in front of his saloon along New road by Otite road junction in Sapele on Tuesday was gun down in broad daylight by suspected cultists. Sources said the killing which shook the community was greeted with reprisals, during which cult members at the scene were reportedly heard boasting that they would retaliate the murder of the young man. Barely 16 hours after the killing, a rival cult member said to have celebrated the death of the hairstylist was said to have been arrested by men of the vigilante.

According to sources, one of the men shot last night, whose name cannot be ascertained as at the time of going to press, was killed inside his car (a Venza) while heading to the Total end of New road by Adeola, close to a popular car stand, an action that sent members of churches around that vicinity scampering for safety. Another cult member was also shot dead on Ofortokun road, at the back of a public secondary school, while the third person reportedly shot at Cemetery road is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital inside the town. Yesterday killing has brought the number of cult-related deaths cases to five in the past one month. A 26 years old, Aghogho Destiny was gunned down early last month, at the Mission Road area of the town by gunmen suspected to be cultist, while two persons were shot that same night with one dying from the gunshot wounds while the other victim, Odirin is still battling for his life, at an undisclosed hospital in town. Meanwhile, residents of Sapele have appealed to the state Governor, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa to quickly intervene, “This town is under attack by these cultists and soon we will not be able to go out of our houses, we need government’s intervention without any further delay” a resident, Alao Kubehinje said The residents, therefore, appealed to the state governor and the Hon Eugene Inoaghan to as a matter of urgency intervene and save their lives from the rampaging cultists.

Gunmen kill anti-cult leader in Delta

Source: https://thenationonlineng.net/gunmen-kill-anti-cult-leader-in-delta/

Leader of the Anti-Cult Volunteer Corps in Ndokwa West Local Government of Delta State Austine Chinua-Emu was killed at the weekend.

He was 38.

Chinua-Emu, a father of three, was allegedly shot about 7.30pm on Saturday while returning from a meeting in Kwale.

The Nation learnt the deceased was invited to Kwale by a top politician while another group of youths, allegedly belonging to the Black Axe cult, were also scheduled to meet the politician at the same time.

It is unclear why Chinua-Emu was murdered.

Sources said the deceased helped to stop the atrocities of rival cult groups trying to outwit one another. They said Chinua-Emu would be remembered for his resilience and commitment to service.

“Former Commissioner representing Ndokwa west in the Board of DESOPADEC invited Chinua-Emu for a meeting at his house, unknown to the deceased that the same man was hosting some cultists.

“More than 60 members of the Black Axe were at the meeting. But as Chinua-Emu drove out after the meeting, the cultists shot him.” the sources said.

An industrialist and Chairman of Tony Amechi Foundation (TAF), Chief Tony Amechi, said it is unfortunate that our ‘supposedly productive generation’ are killing each other while sensible youths elsewhere were working to better their tomorrow.”

Amechi urged the police and political leaders to arrest the culprits and prosecute them.

Police spokesman Onome Onovwakpoyeya said investigation has begun.

In a post on Sunday on a social media, Commissioner of Police Hafiz Inuwa condemned the killing and appealed for calm.

Inuwa wrote: “ I write to express my deepest condolences on the death of Austine. He was with me in my office till Friday evening and we planned to meet this week again. We laughed and had fruitful discussions that day before enemies of the state snuffed life out of him yesterday.

“Please nobody should take the law into his/her hands. I assure you that those who murdered our friend and working colleague will know no peace until they are arrested, investigated and eventually charged to court. Austine deserves justice and those who perpetrated the act must be brought to justice.”

Police Foil Cult Initiation In Delta, Arrest 24 Suspects, Two Teenagers

Source: https://aljazirahnews.com/police-foil-cult-initiation-in-delta-arrest-24-suspects-two-teenagers-2/

Nosa Eresoyen, Asaba

Police detectives attached to Olona Police Division in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday evening foiled cult initiation in the area and arrested twenty four suspects ( 24) including two teenagers inside the bush of Obomkpa community, a neighbouring area.

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Onicha- Olona Police Division,CSP Chidi Usulor who confirmed this incident to our correspondent in Asaba, said that the police detectives in working partnership with Anti- Cult Vigilante group on intelligence gathering, swooped on the suspects inside a thick forest of Obomkpa community where they were assembled for membership of the Neo Black Movement popularly known as” Blackaxe” , adding that the suspects will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.

Sources said that the alleged cultists were supposed to be new set of membership of Blackaxe confraternity in Obomkpa and Olona Communities, a working process allegedly ahead of Delta Local Government elections slated for next year 2021.

Recall that anti- cult vigilante group had last week in the area arrested some group of teenagers inside Olona community with battle axes after confessioning to be members of the” Blackaxe confraternity” allegedly recruited to make lives unbearable for rival cult group called “Vikkings confraternity”who have been terrorizing the entire Olona and Obomkpa communities in the last six months.

Police Commissioner in the state, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa had also, during a media briefing, two weeks ago told Journalists that no fewer than 73 suspected hoodlums which included cultists were arrested across the state, particularly in Ibusa, Uvwian Aladja, Ughelli, among others during massive raid to different areas in the state

His words:” We have arrested no fewer than 73 suspected hoodlums including Cultists at different areas of the state during massive raid, and we have interrogated the suspects who confessed to members of Vikkings and Blackaxe confraternities who were terrorizing the state in the recent times. We shall take them to court after completion of investigation”.

But CSP Chidi Usulor speaking further, said that it was made possible to arrest the suspects in collaborative efforts of the vigilante group operating in the area, a situation he immediately mobilized his officers to the scene inside Obomkpa community bush where they were about carrying out their initiation, and disrupted the process and arrested 24 suspects including two teenagers, while others escaped into the bush, disclosing that the suspects had been transferred to the police headquarters for further investigation.

CSP Chidi Usulor however warned that his administration as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Onicha-Olona Police Division will not tolerate any form of criminality during and after the yuletide period, and called on the youths in the area to be engaged in meaningful venture that will earn them good reputation, rather than engaging in cultism and its related activities.

“I am going to make lives unbearable for hoodlums operating in the areas, particularly in Obomkpa and Olona communities during this festive season.I warn that the hoodlums should rather relocate elsewhere or face my wrath. Men and officers of Olona Police Division are ready to ensure peaceful celebrations in this yuletide period”CSP Chidi Usulor declared.

Cultists murder eight persons, burn houses of rival group in Ughelli

Source: https://guardian.ng/news/pirates-hijack-passenger-boat-in-rivers-kill-one-abduct-two/

Sea pirates have reportedly killed one person, abducted two and hijacked a passenger boat on the Isaka River in Okrika Council Area of Rivers State.

The Guardian learnt that some passengers in a boat were travelling from Port Harcourt to Bonny about 10:00a.m. on Monday when pirates struck around Isaka axis en route Bonny, offloaded some occupants and fled with two of the passengers suspected to be wealthy.

A source said: “A new boat was hijacked this morning at Isaka area, offloaded the passengers and dropped them in the creek while the hoodlums took away two people believed to be rich among them

“The reoccurrence of pirates attack has been a source of serious concern, we are no longer safe and the saddest thing is that the relevant authorities are not doing nothing to stop this menace.”

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Nnamdi Omoni, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident, but confirmed that the police was making effort to contain the attacks on the waterways.

“We have only five gun boats in the state to cover the coastal communities, we are using them judiciously to cover such areas, but we need the cooperation of the communities to achieve optimum security.

“We need information from them and the earlier they share the information with us, the better. Security of the waterways should not be a one-way traffic, it needs adequate collaboration between the police and the communities to fight the menace,” he added.

MEANHWILE, cult clashes in Ughelli Town, Ughelli North Council Area of Delta State, have worsened as cult groups burnt family houses of rival members.

At least four houses were set ablaze at the weekend and no fewer than eight persons reportedly killed in cult clashes that had engulfed the town two weeks ago.

It was learnt that Aye and Black Axe cults killed a Vikings member, while members of Vikings went on rampage and burnt family houses of Black Axe members.

Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) in the Delta State Command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, said the police were aware of the cult clashes, but there was no report of family houses burnt in the process.

Suspected cultist dies, 23 others injured in Delta cult clash

Source: https://orientdailynews.com/amp/crime/suspected-cultist-dies-23-others-injured-in-delta-cult-clash/

By Nosa Akenzua, Asaba

Rival cult clash in Usieffurun, Udu local government area of Delta state in the early hours of Sunday, left one dead, while 23 others severely injured.

The fight, reports said, was between Aye black axe confraternity members and Vikings who allegedly deployed dangerous weapons, including cut-to-size guns, to scare residents of the area.

Sources said that the fight, which lasted several hours, took the police long to bring under control even when one of the confraternities had allegedly felled down a member of the rival other through several bullets pumped into his body.

However, the police public relations officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the incident, said “yes, it is true, one person was killed, and 23 others severely injured. We are investigating the incident and no arrest has been made yet, adding that “those injured were receiving treatment at the state General Hospital as investigation was ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Usieffurun community leadership has imposed curfew in the town to curtail the excesses of cult groups in the area while some residents who spoke to journalists said that the community was almost turning into haven for cultists and their partners in crime.

Also, a People’s Democratic Party chieftain in Ughelli North local government area, Mr Udu Omo Scot, has urged youths in the area to shun cultism and all forms of criminal activities as leaders of tomorrow, noting that cultism would jeopardise their future if they continued to indulge in it.

Scot, who spoke to journalists in the area said “cultism among our youths has affected developmental strides in our communities and we all must rise and fight against it.”

An Expression of Love to the Inmates on Valentine’s Day

The NBM has donated $1000 worth of noodles to inmates at Warri Custodian Centre (formerly known as Okere Prison) in Delta State. A move that an official at the prison described as “an expression of love to the inmates on Valentine’s day”.

The NBM described it as “a way to identify with inmates”

I’d describe it as a way for the NBM to deliver noodles and bog roll to members in the State arrested and waiting trial for murder, armed robbery, kidnapping etc etc whilst getting their picture in the paper in the process.
